Hey everyone - a belated Happy New Year from all at Custard! Yesterday we went to the Bradford Champs show. It was a good day out and is always an enjoyable show as there are lots of other small animals like rabbits and guinea pigs there and loads of stands to look around. We spent the day helping out with the pen and book stewarding for the Syrian judging which is always nice. We only took 3 of our hams with us - Rupert and Creamface for their first show, and our little Chinese Lance. Rupert and Creamface are both still young and didn't place, though we are proud of them for being so well behaved! Lance however was our little star of the day and came first in his class out of 10! I've included a couple of pics of the day below - hope you enjoy! - Anastasia

When the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cartoons and movies came out in the 1980s and 1990s turtles became one of the most sought after pets amongst households with children. Many parents flocked to get their hands on a turtle to satisfy the demands of their ninja turtle obsessed kids, but many failed to think about the needs of the turtle, seeing it more as an accessory or plaything for the kids than a real, living pet.
