Hey everyone! Most of the updates now will consist of lots of pictures - the babies get bigger every day and it's becoming easier to recognise each one as their individual personalities begin to emerge. Some of them are calm and reserved whilst others are a bit more cheeky! We are working on hand taming them now to make sure they are all ready for when they go to their new homes. We have a large apple-shaped children's sandbox which we use as a playpen for them and they love coming out and running around! - Anastasia

As the pups now have their eyes open we are beginning to handle them so I think it's time to introduce you to them! Hope you like - they're getting bigger every day!
- Anastasia Hey everyone, Exciting news this time! The pups are now over 2 weeks old and all have their eyes open now, so I can finally introduce you to them all! We had a bit of a surprise with this litter as it turns out Billie is in fact a secret tort - she doesn't have any tort patches at all but appears to be one genetically as we have three torts in the litter! There are 9 total in the litter - 5 males and 4 females we think. We believe we have one golden tort female, two cinnamon tort females, one black-eyed cream female, two red-eyed cream males, two cinnamon males and a golden male. Since their eyes are now open and they are wandering freely I've included a couple of pictures as they are now old enough. Billie is doing a great job and all pups are happy and healthy and all weigh a similar weight. Hopefully I will be able to post proper individual pics for each pup soon!
Hope you enjoy, - Anastasia Hey guys,
Just a quick update on our litter. The babies are 2 weeks old today. There are 9 babies of assorted colours and all appear to be doing very well. They are very active and come out of the nest for food now, and Billie has just about given up trying to drag them back in! Their eyes seem to be nearly open so hopefully I will be able to share some pics with you guys soon. - Anastasia Hey everyone! The pups are a week old today and are coming along very well. They are growing bigger every day and just beginning to get their fur/pigment through so we can guess at what colours they are. Billie keeps them well covered up so we can only get the occasional peek but we think there are at least 7 pups with a nice mix of goldens, cinnamons and creams. Hopefully we will get a better look soon! I won't be posting any pup pics until their eyes open and they start coming out the nest because we don't want to disturb them, but here's a pic of Billie's giant ridiculous nest; at least they won't get cold! More updates soon.
- Anastasia Hey everyone,
Great news! The first Custard Hamstery litter in many years were born yesterday. Mum Billie seems to be doing well, if a bit tired. We got a sneaky peak whilst she was out getting some chicken and veggies and pups appear pink and healthy and wiggly! Will keep you updated as they grow older. - Anastasia |
